DARLOW WATER

Brief description of fishery:

Darlow Water is stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout. Catch and release is encouraged, all Brown’s must be returned.

Darlow Water is a former gravel pit of 25 acres. It has been landscaped and nurtured since 1987 by successive committees and members work parties. It is now a beautiful setting. The lake grounds and water margins are carefully managed by the club, encouraging growth of wild flora and biodiversity. Insect hatches are very good, with damsels, dragonflies, hawthorn flies, and sedge all abundant. There are also big early season buzzer hatches, a significant mayfly hatch and the spectacular damsel population that appears from late May.

It is fly fishing only. Fishing is from the bank, or by one of the four clubs boats.

We do not allow night fishing and there are no day tickets.
